Savannah National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center

General - The New Visitor Center is located on the road US 17 that comes from the Talmage Bridge out of Savannah about 7 miles into S.C. on the Left. If you come through Port Wentworth, through the Refuge, take a right just before the over pass, going back to Savannah, it is 1/2 mile on Right. I did not have a lot of time when I went over there, but there looks like there are foot Trails, Nice Building with a lot of information on Wildlife. Take your family one day and check it out!Read More

Youth Hunter Awareness Day

General - The Savannah National Wildlife Refuge will be holding a Youth Hunter Awareness Day Saturday September 24, 2011 from 10:00am to 3:00pm at there Welcome Center on US 17 in South Carolina. A GAA State Target Sept. 17-18

General - For any one that may want to go, the GAA State Target is Sept. 17-18 in Conyers, Ga. There is a Dress Code to shoot. There is all the info. on there web site, www.gaarchery.org/calendarEvents.php I believe it is a Full FITA Round 90-70-50-40 metters. If you are a member of the GBAA you can shoot this Championship. Well Another Year has come and gone!

General -
We had our last 3-D shoot for the year Aug. 21, A good time was had by all I hope! The photos are up on our web site under 2011 Club Shoots, Aug. 21 Trash Shoot, give them a look see.
We also held our Club Member Meeting and Cookout after the shoot, With the Election of not so new officers, Pres. Jack O', Vice-Pres. James P., Sect./Tres. Ricky D.. But it takes ALL of the club members working together to have a successful club.
At the GBAA State meeting last weekend we were awarded the GBAA State Target, to be held May 19-20, 2012, and the GBAA State Field, to be held June 9-10,2012. We will need to do a lot of work to make the range ready by then!
